On Wednesday 15th June 2022 a road traffic accident on Station Road in Alsager resulted in a range rover car crashing into the “Ey up Duck” restaurant. It was reported that the car had hit a lorry prior to crashing into the building.
The owners of “Ey Up Duck”, a family run business, reported no staff or diners were injured in the collision but that the restaurant would remain closed until further notice.
A police spokesman later confirmed that the driver of the car had been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and theft of car.
