On Monday 25th March 2024 at 15:33 UTC, Lothar DL3HXX, a radio amateur from Germany made contact with Chris EA8/DLFO/P, a radio amateur from Germany who was operating from the Área de Reserva de la Biosfera Isla de La Gomera (EAFF-0192) on the 15m amateur radio band.
The Área de Reserva de la Biosfera Isla de La Gomera (EAFF-0192), is a protected area of 47,343.91 hectares on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands. This reserve is to the east of Garajonay National Park and contains the twin peaks of Montaña de Yerta (1170 metres).
