On Wednesday 11th October 2023, Nacho EA4HTO, a radio amateur from Spain, reached the summit of Peña Telera and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 21 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
