On Sunday 16th July 2023, Tetsuya JL1SDA/6, a radio amateur from Jordan reached the summit of Asosan (Takadake) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 18 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m and 15m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Asosn (Takadake) is 1592 metres (5223 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Asosn (Takadake) is in the Kumamoto Prefecture on Okinawa Island.
