On Friday 29th July 2022 Mark OE/PC9DB/P a radio amateur from the Netherlands reached the summit of Baumgartlkopf and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 14 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit Baumgartlkopf is 2623 metres (8606 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
