On Friday 22nd September 2023, Brandon ZS6LZ, a radio amateur from South Africa, reached the summit of Bekerskop and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 34 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m and 10m amateur radio bands.
