On Friday 15th March 2024, Brandon ZS6LZ a radio amateur from South Africa reached the summit of Loskop and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 30 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Loskop is 2196 metres (7208 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
