On Tuesday 12th December 2023, Brandon ZS6LZ, a radio amateur from South Africa, reached the summit of Dumbe and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 30 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m, 30m and 10m amateur radio bands.
