On Saturday 30th March 2024 at 09:02 UTC, Joe DF8KY, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Petra OZ7PR/P, a radio amateur from Denmark who was operating from Blaabjerg Egekrat, Lyngbos Hede og Hennegaards Klitter - (Blåbjerg Egekrat, Lyngbos Hede og Hennegårds Klitter) (OZFF-0283), on the 40m amateur radio band. Petra made a total of 89 contacts while at the reserve.
Blaabjerg Egekrat, Lyngbos Hede og Hennegaards Klitter - (Blåbjerg Egekrat, Lyngbos Hede og Hennegårds Klitter), is a protected area of 693 hectares located on the west coast of the Jutland peninsula, north-west of the city of Esbjerg in southwest Denmark. It was designated in 2011 as a Special Area of Conservation under the EU Habitats Directive and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
