Ryukyu Air Commuter Co. Ltd operates a fleet of 5 Dash 8’s is a turboprop aircraft used for regional services. The airline is by Japan Transoceanic Air.

Originally built as a military airport in 1943 Yonaguni Airport became a civilian airport in 1957.

Ryukyu Air Commuter Isi the only airline flying from the airport. It has flights to Ishigaki and Naha.
