On Saturday 10th September 2022, Nuno CT2HOV/P and Antonio CT1MH/P, two radio amateurs from Portugal reached the summit of Borrageiro and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 71 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Borrageiro is 1413 metres (4636 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
