Bothasberg (ZS/FS-232)

On Wednesday 9th August 2023, Marnus ZS6MSM, a radio amateur from South Africa, reached the summit of Bothasberg and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 20 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Bothasberg is 2025 metres (6644 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
