On Saturday 18th November 2023, Marnus ZS6MSM, Brandon ZS6LZ & Gordon ZS6DE, three radio amateurs from South Africa, reached the summit of this peak and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 64 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m, 30m, 20m and 10m amateur radio bands.

The summit of this peak is 2296 metres (7533 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
