On Thursday 22nd June 2023, Colm EI9KY/P, a radio amateur from Waterford, Ireland reached the summit of Brandon Mountain and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made a total of 32 contacts on the 40m, 30 and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Brandon Mountain is 952 metres (3123 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
