On Wednesday 27th March 2024 at 12:18 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Lennart SM7EDN/P, a radio amateur from Sweden, who was operating from Bredvalla (SMFF-4897), on the 40m amateur radio band.
Bredvalla (SMFF-4897), is a protected area of 102 hectares lying in the south of Transstrandfjällen, Sweden . It was designated in 2011 under the EU Special Areas of Conservation (Habitats Directive) and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
The Natura 2000 network aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
