On Wednesday 31st August 2022, Johnny K7ZZQ and Lewis KF7HP, two radio amateurs from Mesquite, NV reached the summit of Brian Head, and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 26 contacts in total working on the 40 metre amateur radio band.
The summit of Brian Head is 3446 metres (11306 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
