On Monday 17h July 2023, Jonas HB9GIV/P & Philipp HB9GSY/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Brunnistock and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 47 contacts in total working on the 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Brunnistock is 2952 metres (9685 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
