On Friday 28th July 2023, Beni HB9HNT/P & Manuel HB9DQM/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland, reached the summit of Mittelstock and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 54 contacts in total working on the 2m, 60m, 40m, 30m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Mittelstock is 2584 metres (8478 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
