Chestnut Ridge toboggan chutes

Chestnut Ridge features four toboggan chutes - two from each tower. They were built in the early 1930's. Time took its toll on the structures, forcing them to close in 2005 for safety reasons. The county paid $175,000 to refurbish the towers and chutes, which reopened in 2010.
