Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C6

Chevrolet Corvette Z06 C6 (StreetView)
The Z06 made a comeback for the 2006 model year as the lightest production Corvette and housing the most powerful engine for a naturally aspirated car from General Motors, the 7-liter LS7 produces up to 505 horsepower driving the rear wheels. To save on weight, the Z06 sat on an aluminum frame rather than the standard steel frame, and the curb weight was 3,130 pounds, allowing for a power to weight ratio of 6.2 pounds per horsepower, in which the acceleration to 60 miles per hour was clocked at 3.6 seconds, quarter mile in 11.7 seconds at 125 miles per hour (recorded in October of 2005), and top speed was rated by the company at 198 miles per hour. It also served as the Offical Pace Car of the 2006 Indianapolis and Daytona 500 races.
