On Saturday 23rd March 2024 at 12:26 UTC, Nicolas F8DGF, a radio amateur from France made contact with Petr OK1CZ/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic who was operating from CHKO Ceske stredohori (OKFF-0007) on the 20m amateur radio band.
CHKO Ceske stredohori (OKFF-0007), is a protected area of 106,892 hectares located between Česká Lípa and Louny in the Podorušnohorá sub province of the Czech Republic. It was designated as a Protected Landscape Area in 1976 and is an IUCN Management Category V area.
An IUCN Management Category V area is a lived-in working landscape.
The area's importance is due to the early Tertuiary volcanic mountain range which is rich in flora and fauna diversity.
