On Saturday 30th March 2024 at 14:46 UTC, Ivo 9A1AA, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Olaf DL7CX using the callsign OK8CX/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from CHKO Slavkovský les (OKFF-0006), on the 40m amateur radio band. Olaf made a total of 76 contacts while at the reserve.
CHKO Slavkovský les (OKFF-0006)[Slavkovský forest], is a protected area of 61,108.5496 hectares lying to the west of Prague in the north-west of the Czech Republic. It was established in 1974 as a Protected Landscape Area and is an IUCN Management Category V area.
An IUCN Management Category V area is a lived-in working landscape, where the interaction of people with the natural landscape has resulted in a landscape with significant biological, ecological and scenic value.
