The Sieg is a 155. 2 km long, eastern and right tributary of the Rhine in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate.
The Sieg flows into the Rhine at the city limits of Bonn, Troisdorf and Niederkassel. The Sieg estuary is one of the last largely unspoilt estuaries of the Rhine. Therefore the "Siegaue" at the estuary was placed under nature protection in 1986.
