Congerstone is small Leicestershire village which is some 3 miles (5 Km) northwest of the town of Market Bosworth.
The village name is from the Old English, cyning-tun, which had the meaning ‘farm or settlement of a king.’
The village church of St. Mary the Virgin which dates from 1179 is a Grade !! listed building, although the present building dates mainly from the 18th century.
