On Wednesday 5th October 2022, Colm EA/EI9KY/P and Juan CarlosEA1AER/P , radio amateurs from Waterford in Ireland and Leon in Spain respectively, reached the summit of Coriscao and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 64 contacts in total working on the 40, 30, 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Coriscao is 2234 metres (7329 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
