On Monday 2nd October 2023, Elena EA4DOS/P and Alejandro EA4DON/P, a couple radio amateurs from Spain, reached the summit of Garbanceda and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 53 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m, 20m and 15m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Garbanceda is 2042 metres (6699 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
