On Monday 21st August 2023, Alberto EA3GNU/P, a radio amateur from Spain, reached the summit of Cornón and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 30 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m, 15m and 10m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Cornón is 2187 metres (7175 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
