Inside the Mars Cheese Castle gift store, a cow models a classic foam cheesehead hat.

Many Wisconsin residents proudly refer to themselves as "Cheeseheads", as one of the state's nicknames is "America's Dairyland". The Milwaukee-area company Foamation began selling the foam hats in 1987, and over time it has created other foam cheese creations.
