On Sunday 31st March 2024 at 06:11 UTC, Hans DM3SWD, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Manol LZ2MW/P, a radio amateur from Bulgaria, who was operating from Derventa (LZFF-0606), on the 40m amateur radio band. Manol made a total of 73 contacts while at the reserve.
Derventa (LZFF-0606), is a protected area of 15 hectares in the north of Bulgaria. It was designated in 1971 as a National Protected Site and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
