On Saturday 3rd September 2022, Bruce WY7N, a radio amateur from Granstville, UT reached the summit of Deseret Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 47 contacts in total working on the 40, 30, 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Deseret Peak is 3362 metres (11030 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
