This fountain in Green Park depicts the Roman Goddess ‘Diana’ who was the goddess of wild animals and the hunt.

The design for the fountain was by Jim Clarke a schoolteacher from Devon who won a competition organized by the Constance Trust which commissioned and paid for the fountain which was originally in the centre of the Green Park.

The fountain which is also known as ‘Diana of the Treetop’ was moved in 2011 to form the central feature of a new entrance to the park and the gilding was added to the statue.
