Duna-Ipoly NP (Duna-Ipoly National Park Directorate)(HAFF-004)

On Saturday 23rd March 2024 at 11:18 UTC, Luc ON2LVC, a radio amateur from Belgium made contact with Ferenczi HA5BV/P, a radio amateur from Hungary who was operating from Duna-Ipoly NP (Duna-Ipoly National Park Directorate)(HAFF-004) on the 20m amateur radio band.

Duna-Ipoly NP (Duna-Ipoly National Park Directorate)(HAFF-004), is a protected area located in the Pilis, Visegrád, and Börzsöny Hills, of the Ipoly Valley between Balassagyarmat and Hont and parts of Szentendre Island. It was designated as a National Park in 1997.

The park is at the meeting point of plains, hills and rivers making it rich in biodiversity and unique in Hungary.
