The sub tropic climate and cloudy weather in and around Quevedo, Ecuador is perfect for growing tobacco. Ecuador Sumatra was first grown in Ecuador with Cuban seed like Havana wrapper leaf added later. Ecuadorian-grown leaf can be found on some of the most prominent cigars.
This particular farm is named Don Angel and is owned by Oliva Tobacco Company.
