On Tuesday 26th March 2024 at 16:41 UTC, Fred DL8DXL, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Oliver HB9IJS/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, who was operating from Egelsee-Wälleflüehau, Bergdietikon (AG) (HBFF-0288), on the 40m amateur radio band.
Egelsee-Wälleflüehau, Bergdietikon (AG) (HBFF-0288), is a protected area of 78.34 hectares located in the Aargau Canton, lying west of Zurich in the north of Switzerland. It has reference number 160_AG_W746 on the Forest Reserve Inventory maintained by the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).
Oliver was at the summit of Heitersberg (788 metres asl) while he was at the reserve and made a total of 73 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
