On Sunday 5th May 2024 at 17:14 UTC, Danny ON4VT, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Lars 8P9NO/P, a radio amateur who was visiting Barbados for a family celebration, and was operating from the Graeme Hall Swamp Wildlife Refuge (8PFF-0002), on the 15m amateur radio band. Lars was hoping to activate at least one WWFF nature park during his stay on the island.

Graeme Hall Swamp Wildlife Refuge (8PFF-0002), is a protected area of 809 hectares lying to the south-east of Bridgetown on the south coast of Barbados. It was established as a Wild Refuge in 1979 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.

An IUCN Management Category IV area Is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
