On Monday 23rd October 2023, Harald OE8SDQ/P, a radio amateur from Austria, reached the summit of Grakofel and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 8 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
The summit of Grakofel is 2551 metres (8369 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
