June 15th. 1920 Southern Jutland became Danis again after it was los to Prussia/German Empire after the war of Dybbøl in 1864. On that day it was written into the Constitution of Denmark after the voting about the border in Southern Jutland and Schleswig in Germany February 10th. 1920.

At the reunification in 1920 King Cristian X of Denmark did ride on a white horse "Malgré Tout" at the old border at Christiansfeld. a little girl gave the King flowers and he was so happy he lifted the girl up on his knee and carried on.

5 years later after this event the horse got sick and was put down at it's home at Visborggaard near Hadsund in Northern Jutland. The hoofs were removed and decorated with a silver plate as a meorial to the event. One of the hoofs is on display at Amalienborg Palace Museum. The other 3 at Visborggaard belonging to the family.

On the stone it says " The White Horse - I carried the King across the border when Southern Jutland became Danish again"
