On Friday 8th September 2023, Florian OE7FTI/P, a radio amateur from Austria, reached the summit of Großer Bettelwurf and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 10 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
The summit of Großer Bettelwurf is 2726 metres (8944 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
