On Friday 1st July 2022 Jarek DL/SP9MA/P a radio amateur from Poland reached the summit of Großer Feldberg and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 15 contacts in total working on the 40 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Großer Feldberg is 879 metres (2884 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
