On Sunday 24th July 2022 Stuart VK7FADZ a radio amateur from Australia reached the summit of Hartz Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 10 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
