On Saturday 6th April 2024, Stuart VK7FADZ, a radio amateur from the island of Tasmania, Australia reached the summit of Snowy North and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 15 contacts in total working on the 40m amateur radio band.
