On Saturday 2nd March 2024, Johann OE3JPD/P, reached the summit of Hochmölbing and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 12 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
Tracking data from the website https://aprs.fi showed that Johann OE3JPD/P was at the summit at 10:17:48 and transmitted on 145.500 MHz.
The summit of Hochmölbing is 2336 metres (7664 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
