On Sunday 16th October 2022, Noah OE6NOA/P, a radio amateur from Austria reached the summit of Hochtor and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 68 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 20 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Hochtor is 2369 metres (7772 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
