On Friday 29th December 2023, Jeong DS1TNR, a radio amateur from South Korea, reached the summit of 함백산 (Hambaeksan) and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 12 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m and 15m amateur radio bands.
The summit of 함백산 (Hambaeksan) is 1572 metres (5157 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
