On Saturday 10th September 2022, Ito JA7ENA, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Issaikyozan and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 3 contacts in total working on the 70 cm UHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Issaikyozan is 1964 metres (6444 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
