Jackie Robinson's birthplace

Jackie Robinson was an American professional baseball player who became the first African American to play in Major League Baseball. He joined the Brooklyn Dodgers on April 15, 1947. He played for the Dodgers until 1956 and was a six-time all-star, World Series MVP and a first ballot hall of famer.

Jackie was born in rural Georgia, outside of Cairo to a family of sharecroppers.
