On Thursday 5th October 2023, Julian IN3JIB/P, a radio amateur from Italy, reached the summit of Kärlskopf and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 26 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m, 20m, 15m and 12m amateur radio bands.
