On Sunday 31st March 2024 at 07:20 UTC, Ed DK1WI, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Juhani OH2CIP/P, a radio amateur from Finland, who was operating from Kalajärven kallioiden luonnonsuojelualue (OHFF-0623), on the 40m amateur radio band. Juhani made a total of 145 contacts while at the reserve.
Kalajärven kallioiden luonnonsuojelualue (OHFF-0623)[Kalajärvi rocks nature reserve], is a protected area of 54 hectares located to the north-west of Helsinki in the south of Finland. It was designated in 2009 as a Private Nature Reserve and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area Is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
