On Sunday 24th March 2024 at 07:07 UTC, Andreas DL6AP, a radio amateur from Germany made contact with Vas SV2HUD/P, a radio amateur from Greece who was operating from Kallithea-Lofos-Kokkinogis-Livadi-Dolichi (SVFF-0243) on the 20m amateur radio band.
Kallithea-Lofos-Kokkinogis-Livadi-Dolichi (SVFF-0243), is a protected area of 4,869 hectares located north-west of Larissa in Greece. It was designated as a Wildlife Refuge in 1997 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
