On Friday 19th August 2022, Ioanna SV4SWQ/P and Stavros SV2RUJ/P two radio amateurs from Greece reached the summit of Katafi and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 29 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF radio band.
The summit of Katafi is 2099 metres (6886 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
